Our Guarantee:

We have a promise to honour, which is not to heat honey, add any preservatives or additives to adulterate the purity of our organic honey. Our factory complies with the internationally-recognized quality standard of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

The factory is regularly audited and approved by the Food and Drugs Authority.

Rainforest Honey is certified by Ghana Standards Authority and Food and Drugs Authority. Periodically, we do quality analysis test at Food Research Institute and Ghana Standards Authority to compare with our in-house results.

We undergo a series of stringent quality checks from production to distribution to ensure the quality of our products.

Rainforest Honey uses MISCO Digital Honey Refractometer designed specifically for the measurement and grading of the moisture content and percent solids in honey.

The moisture content of honey is critical to its grade and overall quality. An accurate measurement of moisture content and percent solids, using a refractometer, represents the best weapon in this battle.

Traditional Method of Honey Purity Test

  • Stir a tablespoon of honey in a glass of water. If the honey is pure, it will not dissolve. Instead, it will simply sink to the bottom of the glass as a solid lump. If it is impure, it will dissolve into the water.
  • Pour some of the honey onto blotting paper. If it is pure, it will not be absorbed into the paper. Alternatively, if you don't have any blotting paper, pour a bit of honey on a piece of white cloth and then wash it. If the honey is pure, it will not leave a stain on the cloth.
  • Pour the honey very slowly. If the honey is pure, it will spin in a clockwise direction as it flows out of the jar or bottle. This is caused by the non-symmetrical structure of the honey's molecules, which have a right-hand bias that makes the stream of honey spin clockwise.
